The family of Robert "Bob" Turley announces his passing from this life to the next where his beloved wife, Jackie, anxiously awaited his arrival by her side in heaven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Turley and Eva Butler Turley, his sister's Minerva Eastham and Vera Rose Turley , and sister-in-law, Dorothy Turley.
Bob was a veteran of the Korean War where he served our country in the US Navy. He was employed at Stran Steel of Terre Haute for 30 years and many other manufacturing companies as superintendent or plant manager.
His loss will be felt deeply by his brother Clarence Turley of Manchester Indiana and Perry and wife Kathryn Turley of Terre Haute. His children Elizabeth Tyler her husband, Greg, his son, Kenneth Turley and daughter Cathy Furr.
His grandchildren Stephanie Talon Tiffany Calpin, Duff Tyler, Rachell Lyle, Kevin Turley, and Jocelyn Furr.
He was also proud of his great-grandchildren Lathaniel Turley, Patrick Talon, Lita Lyle, Danica Lyle, Maryn Calpin, Tessa Calpin, Sally Carson, Lily Turley, and Evelyn Turley.
Services are Tuesday April 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804, visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. VWF Post 972 will conduct Military Graveside services, burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Chaplain Colleen Montgomery will be officiating. John Ahlers
John Eugene Ahlers, 60, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away in his home on April 3, 2016. He was born on October 27, 1955 in Joplin, Missouri to John Ahlers and Betty (Britton) Ahlers. John served in the United States Army from 1972-1975. He was a lifetime member of VFW #346. John was also the lead singer of ROC. He will be missed by all who knew him. John is survived by his wife Cara (Brown) Ahlers, whom he shared 34 years of his life with; children Lacey Ahlers , husband Dustin, Marilyn Paige Holt, husband Joshua, John Ahlers Jr., wife Clarisa, Sarah Ahlers, Crystal Dalton, husband Howard, Natosha Scott, and her husband Robert; grandchildren Britiany, Joel, Sarina, Lil Jay, Kristyana, Lil Billy, Anna, Jacob, Haylee, Kaylee, Triston, Joshy, Gabriel, Samuel, and Nathaniel; and great grandson Kingston. He was preceded in death by his parents and best friends Bruce Trusty and Debbie Byrley. Cremation has been chosen. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

Mary Rose Gainor Carlson, 65, passed away Monday April 4, 2016 at 5:58 p.m. in Union Hospital. Mary was born July 29, 1950 in Terre Haute to George Gainor and Jesse Bemis Gainor.
She loved to play cards, especially Skipo and Phase 10. She also liked to play Tetrus on the Playstation. She was quite the bowler in earlier years. She liked to shop, and play with her grandkids. She would sit outside and enjoy the day in her favorite chair. She always had to have a Pepsi or a Coke to drink. She was a great cook and could make the best meatloaf and baked speghetti. Owls were her favorite animals, besides her large collection of stuffed animals. She also enjoyed doing fill-in-word puzzles. Her favorite shows were Jeopardy, and crime shows. She was a very good mom and the glue that held the family together. She was the person who made sure everyone was alright, and made sure everyone was in communication. She will be deeply missed.

Carter James Manley, 9, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away with his loving family by his side on April 6, 2016. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 13, 2006 to Stacey (Gladden) Wrightsman and Tim Manley. Carter had a contagious smile, when he smiled, so did the whole world. He was in the 3rd grade at Deming Elementary, and there he had his very own fan club. Carter loved super heroes and fire trucks. He had many fond memories of the Terre Haute Fire Department and the fire fighters. He won the hearts of anyone who knew him. He was received in Heaven by his grandparents Sharon and Howard Gladden and Garold Manley, uncles Jimmy Gladden and Keith Gladden, and also several other loving family members. Danny Duwayne Boyce, 69, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away April 12, 2016. He was born April 8, 1947 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Danvers Boyce Jr. and Sadie (Spencer) McCoskey. Danny was an avid Colts fan. He enjoyed being with family, and taking his grandchildren on tractor rides. Danny was preceded in death by his mother; grandson Michael Boyce; and special brother-in-law Lee Ray Hoopingarner. Barbara J. Ford, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday April 14, 2016 in Union Hospital surrounded by her family. Barbara was born November 28, 1929 in Terre Haute to Tressie C. Payne and Jerdina T. Rose Payne. Barbara was on the Harrison Township Board of Trustees for many years, a position that she was very proud of. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and formerly a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she was the church secretary for over 20 years. She was the Past Grand Most Ancient Matron of the Alpha Grand Court, Loyal Lady of The Order of the Golden Circle, Past Most Ancient Matron of Eternal Court #5, Member of Sumner A. Furniss Assemble #32, Grand Trustee of Prince Grand Chapter Order of the Easter Charge, Past Worthy Matron of Betham Chapter #6 and she was a over a 50 year member of the Order of the Legion of Mary. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Ford who died August 21, 2001 and a brother, Rynick Payne and a sister Lois Wills. She is survived her one daughter, Kim Perry of Columbia, MO., one sister, Gloria Johnson of Terre Haute. Three grandchildren survive; Lucius Bowen, Erica Dixson and Alan Perry as well as two great grandchildren; Tommy Signars and Mikey Hall and several nieces and nephews. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1807 Poplar Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47803. Shirley G. Garvey, 79, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born October 23, 1936 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Wayne Watson and Vivian (Miller) Watson. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1955. Shirley worked as an Administrative Assistant and Indiana State University for many years for the Communication and Marketing Departments. For 23 years before working at Indiana State University, Shirley worked for the National Council of Crime and Delinquency. She was the past President of Post 346 Auxiliary. Shirley was a loving grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jerry Watson, his wife Carolyn, Kenneth Tippy, and Gary Watson; sister Gloria Sue Watson; and great grandson Javin Wallen. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Raymond Garvey; children Ginger Garvey, Frank Garvey Sr., James Garvey, and his wife Cathy; grandchildren Frank Garvey Jr., Christopher Garvey, James Wallen, his wife Julia, Miranda Kester, her husband Jacob, Rachel Gant, and her husband Ryan; great grandchildren Michaela and Conner; brothers Wayne Watson, his wife Mary, and Larry Watson; sisters Patsy Hall, Vickie Blitz, and her husband Gene; and many nieces and nephews. Donald Eugene Fine, 48, passed away April 18, 2016 at 9:16 p.m. in his home surrounded by family and pets. Donald was born January 17, 1968 in South Bend, Indiana to Michael A Fine and Margaret A Verhaegen Fine.
Donald was a huge fan of the band KISS, and was a part of their fan club the KISS army. He was a huge fan of Colts football and Peyton Manning. Donald was a man who could take care of his home. He loved to cook, steak and potatoes was his specialty. He loved to be outdoors, taking his children to the park was one of his favorite activities. He worshipped the ground that his children walked on; he cared very deeply for his family. He was a great father, a great husband, and a great son. He had quite the sense of humor. His love for music was what kept him going through the rough times of illness. Donald had a great love for animals; any animal had a home with him. Donald was also a great friend, he will be deeply missed.
Donald is survived by his mother, Margaret, his wife Michelle, who he had been together with for 33 years, sons; Brandon and Jordon Fine, daughter, Samantha Fine, brothers; Mike Fine II and his wife Heather of New Mexico, and Matthew Fine and his wife Melissa of Alabama, sisters; Michele Menzigian and her husband Jeff of North Carolina, Mindy Jones and her husband Lance of Tennessee, Mary Cummins and her husband Joe of Illinois, and Josie Fine Lane and her husband Jason of Indianapolis, a grandchild on the way, Dacota, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Westley Kendall Brock, 43, of Terre Haute passed away Friday, April 22, 2016.
He was born April 17, 1973 in Terre Haute to Larry Gene Brock and Judith C. Herman Anderson.
Westley was a member of Victory Christian Center, VFW Post 6574, Riley Legion, and the Eagles. He loved racing, especially stock car racing. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed car shows, a variety of music, fishing, and cooking, especially lasagna. He was a good boy. He loved to volunteer and help people whenever he could. Westley wore his heart on his sleeve and was his momma’s boy.
Westley was preceded in death by his grandfather and his stepfather, Joseph Anderson. He is survived by mother, Judith Anderson and his father, Larry Brock; his grandmother, Evelyn Smith of Jamestown, Indiana; sisters, Kittie Shaw and her husband, David Shaw Sr. of Casey, Illinois and Dixie Brock of Terre Haute; stepbrothers, Larry Anderson and Jerry Anderson; and stepsister, Natasha Anderson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

William Bailey
William M. Bailey, 52, of Terre Haute passed away April 23, 2016 at 2:33 a.m. in his home surrounded by family. William was born June 16, 1963 in Terre Haute to Robert Bailey and Joann MacGillivray.
William was a hard worker; he worked as a mechanic in Vigo County for 25 years, most recently for Don’s Service Center. He was mentor, someone to look up to; he loved helping people and made everyone around him a stronger person. He enjoyed collecting coins, currency, and antiques. He really loved golfing at his favorite course Mark’s Par 3. He loved the outdoors, where he would take naps in the sun and ride mini bikes. He was a family man, spending time with them whenever he could.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Janice Bailey and Debbie Stone.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Bailey, who had been together 21 years, son, William M. Bailey II of Terre Haute and his wife Sarah, daughter, Jessica Mager of Terre Haute and her husband Joshua, step sons; Travis Wells of Terre Haute and his fiancé Chelsea Tucker and Dustin Wells of Terre Haute and his wife Emily, brother, Bobby Bailey, half brother, Denny Joseph, sisters; Teresa Bandoo and Mary Beth Patrick, grandchildren; Bentley Wells and Adelyn Bailey.

Loretta Shake
Loretta Shake, 93, of Terre Haute and formerly of Sullivan and Zephyr Hills, Florida, passed away Monday April 25, 2016 in Davis Gardens Health Center while with her daughter and loyal caregiver. Loretta was born October 28, 1922 in Sullivan County Indiana to Lex Wright and Elizabeth Bennett Wright. Loretta was retired from Pfizer where she worked in Quality Control in the Lab. She was a member of Bradford Congregational Church of Zephyr Hills Florida and a 1941 graduate of Sullivan High School. She was over a 50 Year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she enjoyed playing bingo and loved bowling. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Ben A. Shake. She was also preceded in death by sisters; Lela Mendenhall, Helen Stanz, and Dolores Cudworth, brothers Harold Wright and Cecil Wright. She is preceded in death by two nieces; Lela Mae Barnett and Linda Beathe. Two nephews; Ren Wright and William R. Mendenhall and her favorite grandson in-law Greg Huff. Loretta is survived by one daughter, Rita K. Keller Cree of Terre Haute, her daughter Loretta Keller Huff and her children Elizabeth Kay Huff, Zach Huff and Doug Huff. Loretta is also survived by one son, Jerry Shake and his wife Rita F. of North Carolina and Jerry’s son Gary and Gary’s children. She is survived by one brother, Lester W. Wright and his wife Mary Ellen of Michigan. She is also survived by a special niece, Emma Mendenhall Crum and her husband Dan and a special nephew Walter Stanz and his wife Marilyn. Arnold L. Saylor, 82, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away April 26, 2016. He was born June 24, 1933, in Lincoln County, Kentucky to Mathew and Amanda Martin Saylor. Arnold served in the United States Amy in Germany for 2 years. He attended Indiana State University for 4 years and retired from Ivy Hill Manufacturing and had formerly worked at Motor Freight and Midland Glass. Arnold enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and watching his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Ella Jeffries Saylor, who he married June 21, 1959; sons Gary E. Shannon Theodore Roby Jr., 87, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away April 27, 2016 in his home. He was born January 28, 1929 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Shannon T. Roby Sr. and Susie (Mehok) Roby. George Nyatawa
George Edwards Nyatawa, 60, of Terre Haute, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2016. He was born September 23, 1955 in Kenya to Shelemiah Nyatawa and Priscilla Nyatawa. George, a son of a pastor, emigrated to the United States in 1979 to further his education. He was hired by the Putnamville Correctional Facility in 1990, and worked as a food service administrator and most recently a correctional officer. George earned his US Citizenship in 1995. He'll be remembered most for his elaborate stories, his hardy laugh, his affinity for food (he'd diligently explored starting his own restaurant!), his commitment to monitoring the nation's current events, his love of soccer and his never-ending desire to dream big, no matter the risks.
George is survived by his wife of 30 years Martha (Bradley) Nyatawa; son Jonathan Nyatawa; daughter Rachel Williams, her husband Jermaine; step son Alexander Perlis, his wife Heather; granddaughters Arianna and Aubree Williams; step granddaughters Astrid and Delphine Perlis. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings. Phyllis Barbee
Phyllis Barbee, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 27, 2016. She was born October 23, 1935 to Hershel and Mildred (Brown) Bright.
She married Edgar “Ed” E. Barbee on March 31, 1956. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family and friends.
Phyllis was tremendously loving and giving, serving in children’s ministry in her church for most of her life. She attended Cory Church of the Nazarene in Cory, IN, and Hernando First Nazarene in Hernando, FL. She loved children, and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making a special point to send cards, gifts, or treats for almost any holiday. She also loved to bake and cook, often making things for others to give as gifts. It was her selflessness, her servant’s heart, and her unconditional love for her family and friends that made her such a joy and a wonderful influence to all. Above all, her faith and her quiet spirit were a constant inspiration and reminder of God’s grace and faithfulness.
She is survived by her husband Ed and her brother Don Bright of Terre Haute; her four children, Cheryl Galloway and her husband Jim of Jasonville; Pam Austin and her husband Ray of Terre Haute; Eddie Barbee and his wife Lisa of Terre Haute; and Brent Barbee of Terre Haute.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Andy (Amy) Austin, Matt (Kristin) Austin, Ashley (Greg) Woods, P.J. (Brittney) Galloway, Seth (Amanda) Austin, Heather Barbee, Nick Barbee, and Christy (Dale) Jeffrey; two step-grandchildren, Carrie (Jesse) Henry, Nathan (Autumn) Johnson, and eleven great-grandchildren, Mahayla, Ethan, Carter, Alex, Audrey, Cullen, Aubrie, Melody, Ian, Kayden, and Sydney and two unborn great-grandchildren.

Deborah Ann Anderson, 57, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 in her residence.
She was born February 27, 1959 in Waskom, Texas to Harold Alonza Haggerty Sr and Margaret Bell Haggerty.
Deborah was a phenomenal wife and mother. Her children were her pride and joy. Her grandchildren were her hearts joy. Deborah loved the Lord and was never ashamed to tell anyone. Deborah had a smile that could light up a room. She was one of the most generous people you could ever meet. She loved with her whole heart. Deborah was very creative. She loved interior decorating, fashion, and music. She loved coloring and crossword puzzles. She was full of life and made friends anywhere she went. She was a selfless and brave woman. She will be deeply missed.
Deborah was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Aaron Anderson, Sr.; and her brothers; John Douglas Haggerty, and Sir Chadwick Von Haggerty.She is survived by her sons, Shawn Maurice Fisher (Tonya) and Aaron Eugene Anderson, Jr.; her daughter, Kimberly Lynne McLean (Robert). She is also survived by her brothers, Harold Alonza Haggerty Jr (Karren), Eric Haggerty, and Patrick Christopher Salako (Jessyca); her sisters, Vietta Lynn Haggerty, Lolita Denise Vega (Cesar) and special sister, Jayne Marie Sheppard; her grandchildren, Micah Marie Ann Fisher, Blake Maurice Fisher, Hannah Elisabeth Wolfe, Brooklyn Dorothy Irene McLean, Maddison Harlem Grace McLean, Graycen Micah Lynne McLean, Kimiyah Elise Anderson and Kenyan Leavell Anderson.
Services will be Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Cross Tabernacle Church, 2929 North 7th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Patricia J. Vandevier, 83, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away May 3, 2016. She was born March 25, 1933 in West Terre Haute, Indiana to William Collins and Pearl Collins. Patricia was a member of the Assembly of God in West Terre Haute, Indiana. She enjoyed camping, fishing, the outdoors, gardening, and playing Yahtzee. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Earl Vandevier; children Kathy Cassidy, Kim Vandevier, his wife Tammy, and Tom Vandevier; grandchildren Kristi Jo Dickison, Derek Vandevier, Tyler Garvin, Kimberly Brown, Lyndsay Vandevier, and Morgan Wilson; great grandchildren Dylan and Whitney Dickison, Matthew Denny, Emily Denny, Joelin Brown, and Caius Brown; great great grandchildren, Cameron, Jaylynn and Ashton; sisters Erma Cooper and Betty Hecklesberg. She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Bill Collins, Uldine Harmon, Carol McDaniel, Virginia Sankey, Margie Richardson, and Harriott McCoy. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 6, 20165 at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. Pastor Randy Smith will officiate. Ellsworth Perdue
Ellsworth Lee Perdue, 77, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday May 4, 2016 at 8:32 a.m. in his home surrounded by family. He was born July 1, 1938 in Otway, Ohio to Emory H Perdue and Mary E Hoffer Perdue. Ellsworth was a machine operator at Alcan and retired after 34 years of employment. He was a member of the New Life Fellowship and also participated as an usher for the church. He married his wife Doyne on July 16, 1960, and raised three wonderful children. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed riding four wheelers and even took trips to ride in West Virginia with his friends. He enjoyed watching basketball, especially teams in the Big Ten Conference. He loved his family very much and will be deeply missed.
Ellsworth is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeffrey Alan Perdue, and a brother, Emory Perdue Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Doyne Perdue, a son, Terry Lee Perdue, a daughter, Lori Anne Perdue-Garlet, sisters; Jeanette Taylor, Rosemary Burden, Sharon Moore, Nancy Knauff, and Marilyn Sue Kunz, grandchildren; Jessica Perdue-Decker and Joshua M Perdue, and great grandchildren, Brodie Decker and Shelby Jean Decker.
Services will be Monday May 9, 2016 at 12 p.m. at the New Life Fellowship, 7849 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803. A visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Wanda Stultz
Wanda Jean Stultz, 59, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away May 3, 2016 in Union Hospital. She was born December 2, 1956 in Greencastle, Indiana to James Albert Siddons and Mary Elizabeth (Cooksey) Wyatt. Wanda was a former member of the Way of the Cross Tabernacle. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren and her husband. She enjoyed life and wanted everyone to be happy. She was pre ceded in death by her husband of 20 years Jimmy Stultz; her first husband Bill Callahan; and her parents. She is survived by her children William Callahan, his wife Spring, Mandi Burger, her boyfriend Shannon McGaughy, grandchildren Lindsay Burger, Lauren Burger, Paige Burger, William Callahan, Mercede Callahan, Wyatt Callahan, and Coy Callahan; siblings Walter Siddons, his wife Linda, Barb Grigsby, her husband Dean, and Wendell Siddons. A celebration of life for Wanda will be held at the Way of the Cross Tabernacle Church, 10592 N County Road 300 E Brazil, IN, on Saturday, May 14th, 2016.
